Safety & Security
Members of the Oakton High School Safety and Security Team have the primary responsibility of ensuring and maintaining a safe teaching and learning environment. We, along with the our School Resource Officer, are committed to working with our students, staff and parents to meet the contemporary challenges of a complete school and campus safety program. If any one of you feels that a particular issue or concern needs to be addressed, please do not hesitate to contact our office at (703) 319-2716 or bring it to the attention of any of the security members.
After 4 p.m., weekends and holidays, security questions and needs should be directed to the Office of Safety and Security(OSS) at 571-423-2000. Emergencies should be directed to the Police Department & Fire and Rescue Services at 9-1-1. The non-emergency police and fire telephone number is 703-691-2131. The OSS, Police and Fire Department numbers are monitored 24 hours at day, 365 a year.
