Timeline | AP Exams | PSAT/SAT/ACT | SOL Testing | Final Exams | PoL
All students will take final exams or a graded culminating assessment activity in all classes. Students moving out of Fairfax County prior to the end of the school year may have exams administered early, if necessary, upon approval of the Director of Guidance. Students involved in school-sponsored activities (i.e. Girl's State, Boy's State, and Virginia Governor's School) will also be allowed to take an exam early. The Director of Guidance must receive student requests for a change in the examination schedule due to extenuating circumstances before Memorial Day. The request must be in the form of a letter from the parent and must include the circumstances that exist to warrant a deferral. If approved, permission will be granted to take the exam, in the summer, after the school year has ended and the appropriate teacher will be notified. Such students will receive an "Incomplete" on their report card and transcript, and will not receive credit for the course until all requirements have been completed.
