martha rodeheaverCongratulations to Assistant Principal Martha Rodeheaver who was recognized as the FCPS 2021 Region 1 Outstanding School-Based Leader and one of the six finalists for the FCPS Outstanding School-Based Leader at this year's FCPS Honors event, held at Jiffy Lube Live on June 9th.

Outstanding leaders inspire, equip, and empower others. Martha Rodeheaver is an outstanding leader of this caliber. Martha’s greatest asset is her commitment to supporting our students, families, teachers, and staff at Oakton High School. As a school counselor shared about Martha, “Every time someone has a question, she either knows the answers, or she will almost immediately find out the answer for you. She is always there to listen, support, and respects the entire Oakton community.” Regardless of the request or concern, she works tirelessly to overcome complex challenges, including systemic barriers to education reform. For example, Martha supports student success by fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and encouraging teachers to move beyond traditional assessments so that all students achieve Portrait of a Graduate outcomes.
